X. Postflight Procedures - Checking Instruments and Equipment

To determine that the applicant exhibits instructional knowledge of the elements related to checking instruments and equipment by describing
  1. Importance of noting instruments and navigation equipment for improper operation
      Make a note during flight (or shortly after landing and shutdown) of any improper operation to remind you (or owner/operator) to make repairs
  2. Reasons for making a written report of improper operation and/or calibration of instruments prior to next IFR flight
      Written report alerts other pilots and maintenance personel to make adjustments, repairs before next flight
