PREANESTHESIA CHECKLIST
- IV (fluids, tubing, Buretrol, stop-cocks, T-connector, gloves, tourniquet, alcohol pads, catheters, tape, lidocaine)
- ECG
- BP cuffs
- suction, including catheters to fit smallest ETT
- stethoscope(s)
- pulse oximeter
- airways: oral, nasal, ETT, stylet
- mask(s), bag, O2 tank & tubing
- breathing system (Mapleson D or other)
- laryngoscope and blade(s)
- LMA(s) - table of sizes
- syringe pump & syringe
- epinephrine, sodium bicarbonate, atropine/glycopyrrolate, succinylcholine
- lidocaine
- bupivacaine
- IV induction agent(s) thiopental, propofol, ketamine
- IM agent: ketamine 5%, 10%
- Narcotics, methohexital
- muscle relaxant(s): mivacurium, rocuronium, cisatracurium, vecuronium, pancuronium
- nerve stimulator
- edrophonium/neostigmine
- heparin
- tape, 4x4's
- chair
- paperwork: anesthesia records preop, intraop, orders
- blood administration set, fluid warmer, pressure bags
- NG tube(s)
